PROJECT 006
_motion designandanimation
2022 - 2024
CLIENT: Womxnography
ROLE:
- MOTION DESIGN / ANIMATOR
- SOUND DESIGNER
TASK: Develop a logo and opening that would be be played before films the company supports, as well as hosted on the company’s website.
I took inspiration from Boticelli’s Birth of Venus. I wanted to create this alluring, yet strong figure. Like any idea, born from a single drop into something new full of life.
I’m obsessed with color and designed a waxy colored font to coincide with the illustration. Long live the limited palette.
CLIENT: Alice Seju
ROLE:
- MOTION DESIGN
- EDITOR
TASK: Create a video for the designers thesis’ collection: Oh My God!
Alice is a designer I had been following for a while...so I was estatic to help her create a video for her thesis collection at FIT. Using the product images, and Iphone videos from the photoshoot, I constructed this 1min video using rotoscoping + karaoke esque transitions and sing along text to make a maximallist pastel visual that coincided with her brand and the collections exploration of raves + Korean culture in relationship to religion.
CLIENT: Margeaux (at marg.mp3)
ROLE:
- ASSISTANT VIDEO EDITOR
- MOTION DESIGNER
TASK: Margeaux Labeau, better know on the internet as @marg.mp3 had the oppotrunity to interview UK band Dry Cleaning at their Pionner Works Show. I was in charge of recording the footage, acting as an assistant editor, as well as motion desgining Lower Third titles, images, and the opening title sequence.
The video title font “Margeaux Talks to Dry Cleaning,” was created by scanning over 30 magazines in my collection. I then cut out individual letters in photoshop and arranged them in After Effects. From there, I animated each letter to appear, stick, wiggle, and fall. I wanted something abrasive and dynamic, yet, still --keeping a colorful playfullness which I felt fit the band’s latest project, STUMPWORK.
CLIENT: Her House of Horrors
ROLE:
- MOTION DESIGN / ANIMATOR
TASK: Develop an opening using an existing logo from a previous artist.
I worked with (1) single open mouth png and then drew new images in Procreated that would act as keyframes to generate a gif that could open and close. The rest of the video was finished in after effects.
